Resting it will do nothing but cease it up even more, i had a slipped disc when i was younger & have always had to be a little careful with my back but when it goes i try keep moving as it passes after a couple days.

Osteopath's are good in emergencies although cost a fortune !

i did my back in few years ago leaning under shelves pulling 25kg bags out to make a pile of 56 . Id been working there for over half a year before it happened and moving over 300+ aday. God the pain. If i tryed running i would of past out, getting out the car after work was a killer. I carryed on working in pain and after 2 weeks it was better. Using it is the fastest way of it getting better.

yes... but well worth it if you can't walk or earn money!  usually about £40-£45

go see a doctor and get proper qualified help

or

end up in need of an op with only a 60/40 chance and live a restricted life because of it.

Doctor won't do anything unless you are really knackered, they will just tell you to take pain killers.
If you are that bad then worth a go, you will need to be persistant if you want anything done.

Osteopaths can be good, but cost a fortune. Private treatment, depends if you money to burn..
