The green connector should slot into the back of the cars original quadlock connector that is pluged into the back of the radio.

I'm not 100% sure if this is right, but a bit of searching found this picture.

Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

As Dubber36 says the green connector from the mic locks in to the Quadlock connector in the car. if I remember correctly it fits in the bottom right of the Quadlock connector, with the 2 wires on the green connector towards the middle of the Quadlock.

GPS antenna should connect to blue connector on back of headunit.

Thanks again Phil! I am still waiting for my GPs antenna to turn up, it was shipped without, seller sent me a message saying he had forgot to post it so I tried to use another GPS antenna I have from my old head unit but it is a different fitting. I will let you know how I get on

Thanks

Finally got round to fitting the head unit and mic today but I'm struggling to get the green mic plug to stay in the quad lock thing  :undecided: how do you secure it?

I've got a feeling that you push it in from the radio side of the connector and it just clicks in.

Going by your pic, have you run the wire up to the overhead console? What you should have done is passed it through the quadlock first.

Offered it onto the head unit and it just stayed in place

Couple of issues now though...

1. Reverse camera doesnt work

2. Can't find bluetooth on the head unit

Time to search for an online manual

This You Tube video shows you how to pair your phone with the headunit - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZOZV4TQu3mU.

Some how to's suggest headunit only searches for devices for 5 mins after ignition is switched on (haven't checked this, so dont know if its correct). If you have problems connecting, turn ignition off then back on and try again.

Dont know about reversing camera as dont have that luxury  but would have thought once plugged in it would work (unless the headunit has to be programmed to accept input with Vagcom).
