There are a number of b'locks items in that article, namely that the GTD isn't available to order yet and that it has 17" alloys. Considering the article is only a few days old I think the author should have done their homework before signing off on it as the incorrect facts haven't just been subject to alteration in spec recently by VW.

Apart from Car magazine I'm surprised at the lack of real reviews.

They didn't test a proper final production model though, they tested one of the final test cars. It'd be interesting to know when VW will release the first GTIs to the car mags for proper reviews. A month or two I imagine, for RHD models.

Yeah most dealers will get sent the same launch trim car like last time. Most were sent reflex silver 5 door dsg mk6 gti's...... then 5 door manual reflex silver manual GTD with a GTI badge on the steering wheel ; )
