rear electric window...munched??

hi all,
attempting to fix my rear electric window as it didnt moved, despite the motor moving..and this is what i was face with...



assuming it cant be repaired...so is it a new motor?

is it part of the locking module aswell(fault code with that too..)

Had this happen twice on my gti both rear doors

You need new window regulator your motor should be ok. Get one with the metal clips

under the door card is the metal plate ..with 7 or so 10mm bolts, after ive taken the bolts out..i assume the plate is then held with sealant..will it come off with a massive tug(easy now..gutter lovers lol)?

just make sure you seal it back up right as they are known to leak

Yh but it has some sealent on it. To be fair i did not reseal mine but then you have risk of leak as said

The regulator is screwed on the plate. Bit of a b!tch just change regulator cable so best just change whole regulator

Excellent! I have fault code coming up with The door module anyway, so will just wait til I got the bits to to the lot
