front seat removal
« on: 01 April 2013, 12:46 »
removing the drivers seat to have a look at the airbag connectors, and its a different mech to the passenger...first of all it has 2 13mm bolts, instead of torx bolts...and second it doesnt come off the runners as easy...

does this look right...

as most know, i bought the car with no history...and the vagcom fault code has come up with

Address 15     -------------------------------------------------------
   Controller: 1J0 909 609
   Component:  A AIRBAG VW3 SG   0002
   Coding: 00065
   Shop #: WSC 00028
3 Faults Found:
01280 - Airbag: Passenger Side: Disabled
            35-00 - -
01217 - Side Airbag Igniter: Driver Side (N199)
            32-10 - Resistance too High - Intermittent
00532 - Supply Voltage B+
            07-10 - Signal to Low - Intermittent

im just hoping the previous owner hasnt messed with things and bodged this seat with anything to get it bolted back in

any ideas?

thanks

The seats should be bolted on and not with torx bolts  :undecided:
