It was either a high speed bump, your car is too lowered...or you were going some speed to hit a speedbump And damage the sump, most damage I've had over a speedbump is scrape something underneath.

You could attempt to take the council to court over it, after all if its too high, it's their fault...but other people would of had the same damage or more...

If it were me..I'd slow down!!

Where do they usually crack to because it's leaking from the back of the sump

The easy answer is...they don't normally crack! Only if they are 'walloped' against a hard surface...

I'd like to see anyone try and win that one :lipsrsealed:

It does indeed sound like you've cracked your sump, to be honest they don't take a lot to break so if it came into contact with a speed bump I'm not surprised.

You'll need a new sump and sealant, it will also be worth changing the pickup pipe whilst your there

You've probably knocked the lead off the Sensor at the bottom of the sump. I did the same a few weeks ago which brought up low oil pressure. Leak is probably a cracked sump!

Is there anything I can use to possibly put into the oil to seal the sump atall or some way to seal this mysterious leak.

I was thinking along the lines of radweld

I guess you could use evo stick liquid.metal but the.sump would still have.to come.off and wouldn't.be a guaranteed.fix

Radweld....really lol??

You need a new sump mate..radweld blocks SMALL water leaks...

Drain the remaining oil..remove the sump..clean it up, see if you see a crack, if not..fill with water..see if/where it leaks..if its confirmed a crack...you need a new sump
