dizi question

iv a golf mk3, if i twist the rotor arm one way should it spring back by its self, does it make any differance if it dont

Rotar arm only fits one way so why should you want to twist it round. :huh:

I don't think the rotar arm should spring back as its connected to a series of small cogs at the bottom of the distributor shaft.You might get a bit of play in the rotor arm as it sits on the top of the shaft but not much.

it shouldn't have any play in it. otherwise the timing wouldn't be stable while changing rpm (gear changes etc)

they are springy,  your manualy pulling the advance mechanisum around.

pulling the rotor arm right round dosent do the dizzy much good sometimes tho
all the VW's have gone bar 1.

didnt think mk3 had vacuum advance.. thought they were all hall effect so it wont have a manual advance?
