Yeah but it would have meant the Golf would have been stranded miles from home. At least I can just nip round the corner to do it

What were you trying to exactly? Change your exhaust setup? I'v sheered a few studs before, worst feeling ever! :lipsrsealed:

Did the conversation go like this:-
Male - going to do some work on the Golf
Girlfriend/Wife - how long will it take?
Male - don't know 2 hours ish
Girlfriend/Wife - Ok

An hour and a half later
Girlfriend/Wife - how long will you be
Male - well more than half an hour..............
Girlfriend/Wife going mental because she wanted to go shopping or something lol

Is it me or do all these turbo's do the same thing, I luckily only had one let go but that was still a PITA to get out

I told her about an hour in that the studs were snapped, she wasn't too happy. Especially as we're meant to be going away in the Golf on Thursday afternoon...

Anyways studs are out, everything is ordered and should be here tomorrow. I'll be pulling a half day on Weds to get it done and working through the night if needs be
