poor idle getting worried
« on: 24 March 2013, 18:51 »
i knw i have posted this question many a time but im starting to get wrried now...
iv replaced ht leads spark plugs etc and dizzy
air filer replaced and maf cleaned with contact cleaner, i need to clean the throttle body but...
regardless of this when i start the car on cold i will not idle and if it does it hovers around 800rpm then dies, i have to keep throttle down for about 3 mins at bout 1000rpm then usually it idles perfect at around 650-800rpm. is this common and what are the usual fixes..or could this be something more sinister. iv seen someone mentioning ecu and various differant relays
its the 8v 97 agg
thanks guys please help

Got both 30 and 167 relay from dealers and cost £26 for the pair including VAT.

Yeah a doddle. They plug in the fuse box which is located under the right hand side of the dash. There should be a cover over the fuse box with 2 green clips either side of the cover.Pull that cover off and you should see the fuse box.Either side of the fuse box are 2 white clips that push up allowing you to drop the fuse box out.Sounds difficult but it aint m8.
