Have a look in the boot near the rear lights for disconnected hoses

to lock your petrol cap there's a looped rod behind the carpet near the cap. push it towards the front of the car to lock it and then the other way to underlock when u need to fill up :)

did it work before?
sometimes the factory central locking is made immobile by companies fitting remote alarm systems.

if your pump/solenoids are knacker ive got a set for sale

if the pump is working and the hoses are all fine then it could very well me the master actuator in the drivers door. this is what sends the signal to the pump to start pumping. according to the bently manual the pump should only run for about 2 seconds before cutting off. Does it run when you turn the key to unlock?

The electrical sender that makes the pump energise is in the drivers door. It forms part of the normal locking mechanism and I would check it hasnt been removed and replaced with the alarm solenoid you describe. Take the door panel off and you should see it.

It has a power feed live all the time and two feeds back to the pump, one to lock and one to unlock.

Normal practise is to leave it in place and have the solenoid operate it so that it locks and unlocks the car as per normal.

thanks people i'll take the panel off this weekend and have a look , there is no naise coming from the pump so i'm guessing it has been disconnected from the drivers door key solinoid but i'll have a look and let you guys know
