Yes. All ready paid for itself in the form of a new water pump a few weeks ago. Think it was about £350 full monty with no excess.

If i was keeping mine i would definately take it out, i'm hoping if anything goes wrong (touch wood) in the 6 months between my warranty running out and getting the new car my dealer would help me out a bit? :undecided:

Is this £350 price genuine?
I'm told VW will contact me directly about mine...just wondering what the cost will be. Somehow I expected more.

I was quoted £326 for a year, with no excess, or £261 with a £100 excess by VW for a Comprehensive warranty. I think it depends on your current and projected mileage what price you are given

Scratch that.  Haven't got it on current car -  mixing it up with fixed price service plan and GAP insurance which I have got.  It's been one of those days! 

Had it on my last GTI, can't remember exactly how much but it was but sub £400.  Got a partial rebate when I cancelled it (before expiry date) due to getting mk6.  If keep this car longer than 3 years will get it but most likely will upgrade car

I was quoted 352 at dinner time today for the comprehensive policy with no excess.
Includes rac roadside assistance.
