Seems to be a lot of conflicting advice out there.

I've also read elsewhere that they now use Longlife for both types of service.

However, I went into dealers recently to buy some oil (car is 62 reg) and was that told to get Longlife.  This is despite the fact it will be on time/distance service schedule (once I hit 10k miles).  When I questioned this, they said that it would have had Longlife put in at factory and so to carry on with that, but, that it would be changed over to the time/distance oil at the first service.

Has anyone had any experience of a non-Long life oil being used on a 'time and distance' service at the dealers and if so can you specify which oil it was?
