Car was not handling well, found the reason why!
« on: 24 February 2013, 23:18 »
My VR6 converted to a 20vt by previous owner. Well since owning her I thought she did not feel right, not like my VR6 in my av' pic. I did the usual kick on all 4 tyres and all seemed good and looked good, no signs of looking flat. Today I decided just to check what pressure they were running at expecting to see 32-34psi due to being 17's. Front  drivers was 22psi, rear drivers side 18psi, front passenger side 32 psi, rear passenger side 17psi.......So now all at 33psi, what a difference, cant believe I did not check this earlier

Normally it is visible or to touch, all tyres felt rock solid?  Oh well, all done and sorted now but thought I had to tell!  MPG and speed should be up a bit now

Tyre pressures, fluid level check and a quick visual inspection is something I do weekly religiously.

Same here, but more because I'm paranoid that something's wrong

Christ with it being so cold I check mine once a month.

I have very good quality stainless steel valves, that don't leak as much. But being cold and air smaller it can escape easier.

I normally do mine every 14 days!  Never knew how bad low pressure tyres and out of sync' regarding pressures it would have on the car......Shocking

In winter when roads are cold you need higher pressure to get heat in the tyre faster. I run 36 front 32 rear.

Summer I run 32 front 28 rear. Summer you get more heat in them and the air pressure will rise 2/4 pounds.
