Off to Rtech..
« on: 14 February 2013, 17:46 »
Bit the bullet and booked myself in for a remap.

I've raised the car slightly today as I was told to do so..! Anyone had any problems getting onto the rollers?
I can't remember exactly but I'm sure he told me to have 97 Ron or above for when I arrive, anyone have any recommendations for what fuel to use?

Any tips and hints would be great, I'm a little nervous

I'd use Vpower. I used to use Momentum 99 until the moment I found out the way tesco get the 99 rating....With ethanol....They use normal fuel, add ethanol and get 99RON.

Shell make Vpower separately from it's normal fuels, it's a true 99RON fuel. Since switching to Vpower I've noticed smoother running and better response. Only downside is it's a little bit more expensive.

V Power makes single handedly the mos difference in the SDI. Any increase at all is nice but really does make a difference, on hills where 60 might of been possible, it will surge up to 85MPH.

Literally unbelievable the difference it makes. I have a feeling something in it has cleaned out the fuel system as it runs so much quieter.

Where all my moneys went.

I don't know why but that sounded so sarcastic!

It's not for once.

I did wonder why the SDI was quite as slow as it was and it genuinely seems to have improved things. I have to hold my hands up and say I've never researched fuels and don't really understand how they make higher RON stuff but I wonder if it has, as I said helped clean the fuel system out.

Put half a tank in as there was nothing else in the place and really noticed a difference by quarter of a tank.

Where all my moneys went.
