reviews... anyone got this? how much bhp would they hold :\ as everyone i've looked at doesnt say. I imagine it would be a good upgrade to standard but unsure, golfs my 1st turbo car so dont know much about turbo side of things. Is it better to go FMIC or is that just a personal preferance?

Personally I wouldn't bother with an uprated SMIC, do it properly and get a front mount

the ammount of surface area being cooled.

but all depends on how mad your gonna go. if its just a few mods then it will be fine but if your chasing big dreams and wanna spend everything you earn then go front mount  :lipsrsealed:

well at the moment im just doing a few little things but hope to fit a kO4 eventually. Side mount manage fine? or have to be front? have an r32 front bumper with a fmic (has no hoses though) and intercooler sits against bumper and has no grill in middle as it doesnt fit, dont want to hack up the R32 bumper to fit something if a side mouth could do the same job.

Why have a you got a fmic that is piped up?
Smic is a total waste of money, bad position and poor flow! Ask r tech they tested it and was rubbish to poor flow.
If your going to do the job do it properly, a smic won't even manage a k03s nevermind a k04.
Plus if you have the fmic already then half the job is done!

R-tech custom remap - k04-001- 250bhp/311ftlb
