I'm not getting another one, I could sell it too someone but then what if they broke it ? I just listened to people too much and made wrong choices. Ie mega squirt. If I hadn't done all that I would of patched him up, ill try and put it up for sale but who's wants a sh!t bodied car. Ill give the shell for free if someone wants to patch it up.

Then they'd only need to put an engine in it wheels and few other bits

Sounds good at the time, but its choices at the end of the day mate.
So the only problem is the rust on the floor plan right or is the other body parts done in?
Like everyone said mate if you do get another it would be good as spares and do it right this time around if money lets you or do what I do fix bits every six months so I'm not at mercy of cash?

Yes that is true it does sound good at the time, tbh for 1k it's be a good buy, Ill try to sell it whole first, it's pretty sorted mechanically, and it would be a shame to loose a 16v ! I reckon another grand and it's be great. Just needs either abd fuelling ecu etc or just the ms mapped. I drove it the other day down my road , scary as its s hill and doing brakes myself !

Ill get some pics up of the rust and see what everyone has to say, its our mechanic that will do that work. If i got it fixed up would it sell for much more than if I left it, as I dont know if I can break it tbh itd do my head in !

if your estimating 1k for body work ill guarantee that will rocket once its started, welding alone sounds above 1k i was quoted 750 for sills, rear arches and spare wheel well, that more than doubled once they found inner sills and floor rotten as well as inner arches and axle mount 
best to bite the bullet and break it, gutted for you i made same mistake but fortunately had saved enough cash to sort it
