Also the lower the "K" the more blue they appear the higher the "K" the whiter they appear e.g 4000k-12000k.

This is wrong. The higher up the temperature (K) the more blue and then purple the lights become. So at 12000K the light output is pretty much useless as its to coloured.

OEM is 4.3K and 5K is still white too, when you get to 6K there is more blue tinged starting to come into it. I wouldn't advise going any higher than this tbf.

I do have a question for you though... surely it cannot be legal to perform an MOT on your own car... You could pass anything.

Did wonder about this myself, cannot see that it is right or legal to mot your own car.  :undecided:

Well you both FAIL - nothing in the rules at all.

Companies can make it policy that you cannot MOT your own car ( or families ), ours does, but VOSA dont.

No different than a Sales garage MOTing their own cars really.

as stated - all down to the risk of losing not only your own job, but others at the garage and the licence to MOT again as the tester but also the MOT manager and the garage.

can you tell i am studying to become a MOT Admin  :smug:

And thats the end of the matter....
I often wonder why people never expect sarcastic comments from me - they're the only reason I speak...
