undeterred by the orrible weather today i thought i'd get on and do a few jobs..
found my old boot struts and fitted them to the bonnet thanks to shady's great guide. lost two of the nuts though so bodged some up
and all finished.
this was my makeshift garage for today!
pressure washered and degreased the intake manifold and rocker cover ready for painting. it's amazing how much oily shiit was in the throttle and the intake. all cleaned now.
and all painted. nice finish but going to make the rest of my engine bay look so bad!
cleaned my cone filter, the petrol here turned from clear to this colour in about 3 seconds!

i'm never buying cheap car parts again. i'm normally quite good at buying the best stuff, don't know why i bought cheap rubbish! that rocker gasket is a right pita. it's floppy so you get in into place and as you tighten it shifts out of place. arrgh! gonna have to buy a new one now. here's the engine bay at the end of tonight
finally i did some porting and polishing of the throttle body. no dremel, all hand file and sandpaper cos i'm that hardcore (and don't have a dremel lol)
