I used to run 34 up front and 36 in the rear to help stop the mk3 understeer but the rear suspension  was raised higher than the front also, you will need to try different pressures to see what suits your own driving style .I used to get loads of lift off over steer which was ace fun but not the quickest way to get round a corner . I think the mk3 shell is quite stiff so doubt the strut brace will make any difference,i have one and have never put it on as I don't want to drill holes in the turrets for no benefit.

Its when your accelerating  in a bend and come off the throttle, the weight will transfer forward making the rear light and it will step out
