Wheel choices
« on: 23 July 2005, 21:57 »
i know I've asked about wheels before, but I'm struggling to get BBS etc...

Can anyone gove me wheels styles that would look good on my standard '90 16v jus tto keep my options open!! I don;t want anything massive or outrageous, just some nice 15'' wheels, don;t mind doing some refurb on them either!

Cheers

at the moment i like standard 15's that have been detailed. i know a guy with an atlas grey who has a set of teardrops(14's) that are colour coded to his car with polished lips, they look sweet as!!!

you don't like my choice of paintwork then???

that is as they will be delivered to me, I intend to shot blast, and polish, hopefully all for free - (my dad loves this type of work!!)

Just hope they are all nice and straight when I get them!!!

Cheers

PS what size tyres should I stick on them? 195/50/15? or something else as they are 15*7

I wouldent put a 50 profile on thats a bit too big for my liking. More like a 40 or even 35 if you like the rubber band look! The smaller the better i say when it comes to tyre profile size.

Stick 45 profiles on them, its the best compromise as it will not give a rock hard ride or be too soft. As for rolling radius, its not really something worth considering as long as you are not going from one extreem to the other, as analogue dials are more inaccurate the higher up the range you go.
