Interior trim ideas
« on: 17 January 2013, 10:29 »
Thinking of changing up the fake wood look trim in my golf but not sure what colour or style to go?

Just wondered what people on here have done to get an idea of what looks good and what looks awful?

Most people go for alumiunm or carbon fibre wrap, plenty of threads on here with pictures.
I often wonder why people never expect sarcastic comments from me - they're the only reason I speak...

Was thinking of putting in the r32 brushed aluminum trim but was hoping for some inspiration to do something bit different

I rubbed my wood trim down and painted them dark silver...

brushed alli wrap (looks sh!te when you see it next to gen stuff)
carbon fibre wrap (looks sh!te when you see it next to real carbon)
real carbon wraping (i.e paint the trim, then lay one layer of carbon fibre on, then laquer, can get kits for this)
sticker bomb  (90's)
paint a random colour (mates painted his red to match his car, looks smart)
wet and dry the trim to a dull black plastic colour (boring)
decorate it with hello kitty wrapping paper

Thanks for the ideas guys the hello kitty idea is very tempting
Think I'm gonna go brushed aluminium, ice white or same colour as the car. Got 2 sets of trim so if it turns out crap I can always put back the very stylish fake wood :nerd:

Hello kitty all the way..

Mine is a dark baby blue lacquered but may change it to a carbon wrap for a more subtle look
