nice one, cheers fellas! i think they came off a mk4 and when i google the part number alot of results are saying anniversary edition

As GOLF-MK3-GTI said, the anni ones are only the 7 inch ones. The 6.5 are off a mk4.

I had a set on my old anni (6.5inch) and mine did fit without spacers but it was tight, but Screech had to put spacers on his. They are definatley a direct fit. Best thing to do, buy a set, stick them on and see if they catch the caliper??? problem solved, if not, spacers won't cost much. You'll probably want spacers on anyway at some point cus the 6.5inch wide alloys do look a bit tucked in the arches, i went through the same process on my last one.

Have a look in the classified section and look at mine and screech's, if they are the ones you are looking at then you know they fit as we've had them on ours. Don't know about the offset being ET42 cus im selling a set of 7inch anni ones on ebay and i took pics yesterday and if defo says ET43? Don't know if that would make a difference.

thanks Leroy that was alot of help. i checked out both u guys posts in the classifieds and come to the conclusion that the rims im looking at (1J0601025E) are not anni's (1H0601125AH).

so worse case scenario im gonna need 10/15mm spacers?

Mk4 RXIIs have an ET42 offset, and Mk4 discs/calipers sit 6mm further in compared to Mk3 discs/calipers.

The Mk3 RXIIs are ET43, but have a different shape back-cut to the spokes to allow clearance over the Mk3 brakes. The 1mm of offset doesn't make the difference...its the shape of the spokes that does.

Worst case you need a 3mm or 5mm spacer when fitting Mk4 RXIIs on a Mk3 if the car has new brake pads fitted.

Reducing my Golf count by the week....
..but gaining motorcycles.

As Ess_Three has mentioned, you will need 3mm or 5mm Spacer for them to fit. Not 10/15mm

10/15 would look better as the 6.5 wheel tucks so mucho, I was running 20 on the back with rolled arches  and 25 on the front.

I currently run MK4 RXIIs and I need a 5mm spacer to clear my brakes (MK3 Anni 288mm) but I have a set of standard Anni RXIIs being refurbished.

As has been mentioned, you may (or may not need) a 3/5mm spacer on the fronts but a larger spacer would make the wheels look better. Mine still look tucked in.
