question about wheels

hi all,

i'm trying to find out if a set of BBS split rims will fit my mk3. they are 16" 5x100 (i have 5 stud) ET42. been looking at wheels for so long now i'm starting to lose the plot! if anyone can help or knows any info sites please give me a shout back.

Width?
Generally speaking yes they will fit unless they are stupid wide. You will probably need to roll the arches possibly a touch of camber on the rear depending on width, and how low you are going.

Yes they are,

Gathering from what has been said above, I think he's one about the BBS RS772, Which are 6.5J. The one's that come on the MK4

BBS RS771 were 7J Wide, These came on MK3 Anni's.

Yes they wil fit  :cool:

nice one, cheers fellas! i think they came off a mk4 and when i google the part number alot of results are saying anniversary edition

If they came off a MK4 then you wont have a problem, But also note, that the same design wheels also came on a VW polo, which are 4 stud, So just make sure how many bolt holes they have before buying... :smiley:

You may need a spacer on the front to clear the brake calipers

This ^^^ when I was running the same mk4 wheels they fitted without a spacer but when I put new disc,s and pads on the caliper hit the back of the wheel so had to space them out 5mm.

Theres a lovely purple set for sale in the alloys and tyres section  :tongue:
