Bought a DAS-6 Pro DA polisher earlier this year and machine polished my car for the first time.
As I'd never used a machine polisher before, and I was a bit nervous about inflicting more damage on my car than I was hoping to correct, I watched a number of videos on YouTube to learn the best technique to use. I used the Meguiars microfibre system, and was really impressed with the results. I finished off with a coat of Poorboys Black Hole glaze and Collinite 845 wax which, as it's liquid rather than a paste, it's really easy to apply but I've found it also has good durability.
I set aside 2 days and took my time, but my arms were really aching by the time I'd finished! One tip I'd give is don't skimp on the preparation - ensure you get rid of any bonded contaminants first, so you've got a smooth, glassy surface before you start polishing and the results should speak for themself.
