ABS Pump
« on: 03 January 2013, 13:24 »
I'm looking for a new abs pump

Does anyone if there is any difference between pump with part number
1h2 614 217 e and 1h2 614 217 c

As mine ends in C and have found one forsale ending E

Thanks in advance

I think the letter at the end which ends in E has superseded the C model and should fit ok.
I would phone your local VW garage and double check though.

Are you sure you need a pump or is it the ecu?

You may find that its an ecu fault. They are a common failure but can be repaired. Its the bit that's bolted underneath the pump. Would mean you wouldn't have to bleed your brakes too.

Yes. An E5 socket undoes the bolts.
