Also this arrived today, so I'm going to whack it in the boot overnight and it should eat up some of the moisture, which ought to help in the meantime - ideally I want to fix the leak and stop it altogether, but until it stops pi**ing down this will have to do.

I also noticed there's three rubber grommets in the spare wheel well which may potentially perish, and with all the surface water around at the moment it could just as easily come up from under the car as well as from the sky - excellent! Good timing to buy a Mk4, eh??

With it being winter you have to take into consideration your bringing moisture in with you... shoes etc

Nothing much but it may add to a problem

Im having same problem. Ive just got a new pollen/cabin filter so fitting that tomoz.
Need to check all the usual places for water asap.

Another thing i was thinking of is ive recently fitted all brushed alu trim and a metal brushed alu gear knob so could thos be a factor in increased condensation coz its all metal now insyead of wood.

Had the same problem years ago when i fitted a roll cage to my corsa lol.

Was it one that bolted through the panels? because that would be a more likely cause of moisture getting in

There's a grommet under the windscreen scuttle on the drivers side, in which the bonnet cable goes through ....Make sure that hasn't fallen out .Mine had and my windscreen was soaking wet...Ive resealed it and hey presto no more condensation.
