g60 1.8 supercharger

anyone got any idea what the hp is on a standard engine?

ok, cheers  :grin:, are they easy to tune up? do ya reackon i could get 200+ out of it relatively easy?

with a bit of work yeah. smaller pulley and a chip is normally the first step, then head work then ported charger, but decent air filter and exhaust should be done first.

argh excellent thats good to hear... cheers m8. do you know if they fit into the mk2 pretty easily? need to find a gearbox for it if im gonna put it in the golf, do the g60's come with better gearboxes than normal 8v ones?

i'm pretty sure they all had a cable change gearbox, which is smoother. the g60 is essentially a pb engine digifant with a few tweaks to get it to run a supercharger. so are straightforward to put in. the only thing which might make things tricky is if the engine comes from a corrado the ecu is on the right hand side whereas its on the left on a golf which i think can make the wiring a bit of a nuisance to get installed neatly.
