ClimaTronic
« on: 19 July 2005, 18:50 »
Quick question. I have a Mk4 GTI (Non-Turbo) with ClimaTronic. Is this unit supposed to be air con? Because if it is i think it's broke! In the past week's heat wave i've noticed even on the 'lo' setting it's not that cold, nowhere near as cold as air con.

TIA

there's a "lo" setting ? .. try turning the fan speed up and setting the target temp (blue button) to something stupidly low like 15 degrees, if it still isnt blowing cold you probably need it recharged.. or worst case scenario its broken :undecided:

Cheers everyone, mine also only goes as low as 18 degrees and then to 'LO'. It does blow out cold air but just not as cold as other air con units i've experienced, maybe it does just need recharging, i'm due for a service next month anyway so i'll get it looked at.

Cheers again.
