Sun Glasses
« on: 07 December 2012, 21:37 »
Thought I had a rattle and it turned out to be the sun glasses in the centre console glasses holder above my head.

I like the concept of have a place to put my sun glasses.  So I have tried various sun glasses in the holder but they all seem to rattle about.  Has anyone got a neat way of using that holder without it rattling about?

i just keep them in the cleaning bag (oakleys) to stop them rattling and also to stop scratches etc. they are a right faff to get in to be honest as the compartment is so small so i now put my sunnys in the cubbie hole by my right knee on the dash

why didnt they make the sunglasses holder a bit bigger?

Or put a rubber liner all round to keep them quiet!  Perhaps there are VW sunnies that fit....

I'm sure "they" really don't really care if you wear sunglasses or not in your golf so from this day forward wear your sunglasses with pride or take them out of your car and save 3p a year on fuel due to the weight saving.

I guess its a left over thinking of mine from the 80s when all the yuppie city types, posers and wide boys ran mk2 GTIs and I did not want to be thought of one of them back then.

Mange-tout Snoopy.  You've got to let that 80s man out now.  Try driving the GTi down the high street with big hair, wayfarers, Filofax in hand and 'don't you want me baby' at full volume with the windows down.
