I still cannot bring myself to ware sunglasses while driving a GTI I just feel like others just think im a poser.

I'm sure "they" really don't really care if you wear sunglasses or not in your golf so from this day forward wear your sunglasses with pride or take them out of your car and save 3p a year on fuel due to the weight saving.

I guess its a left over thinking of mine from the 80s when all the yuppie city's types, posers and wide boys ran mk2 GTIs and I did not want to be thought of one of them back then.

Mange-tout Snoopy.  You've got to let that 80s man out now.  Try driving the GTi down the high street with big hair, wayfarers, Filofax in hand and 'don't you want me baby' at full volume with the windows down.

Agreed and if you get any bad vibes simply throw your Filofax at 'em, I'm sure I've git some wayfarer Max's in the garage somewhere

Never ever considered that anyone would have an opinion about me wearing sunglasses when driving, funny the different perceptions we have about things

Has anyone got a neat way of using that holder without it rattling about?

Get yourself to Wilkinsons (Wilkos) and but a roll of this rubbery stuff for a few p.  You can cut it to shape

I line all my cubby holes / glove box etc. with it.  It has even sorted out parcel shelf rattles for me.
