I will be driving down from Leicster area on Sunday. Not sure on what time yet as I'm in town on Saturday night!

Will there be a 'meeting' area inside the venue?

Fook me it was hot today. Take ya sun cream guys cos there's no shaded areas at all. Great venue, some minor hiccups but nothing worth worrying about!

IF YOUR GONNA DO THE 1/4 MILE RUN YOU NEED LONG SLEEVE SHIRT AND PANTS, YOU CAN RENT A HELMET.
This would of been nice to know.  I drove 2 hours there got my dents worked out and left. pretty much same as the years previous, just laid out 100x worse

It was just as hot today too. So many people couldn't be arsed to do anything other than just sit around. I cleaned my car in the concourse until about 9:00, then sat by it while it cast a bit of shadow, then went over and sat in TDI Sports gazebo. We had a wonder round the trade stands, but it really was too hot to be bothered to look at or buy anything.

We left before we knew the results of the concourse, but from what I gather, the same old faces won. There's a suprise. When will they have a section for standard daily drivers? There's either the show and shine for those with £10k paint, wheels and air, and the concourse for pampered cars that never get driven. Nothing in between.

That's exactly what we were saying yesterday. They need to have a 'un-modified daily driver' section.

Was there many in the mk6/mk3 category today?

To be honest I didn't look round the show and shine cars Neil. It's all a bit same old, same old to me.

I was in the concourse, which is supposed to be for standard cars. The trouble is, there was a bunch of us in genuine, used every day with kids in the back, made to look as presentable as they could, up against pampered cars that only see the light of day for shows. No suprises that the same cars won again that always do.

Years ago, show and shine was for daily drivers and the concourse was just that. Nowadays there is nowhere for the likes of yours and mine to fit in and get any sort of recognition.

Rant over...for now.
