It organising of stands was abit all over the shop to me  :undecided:

To be honest I didn't look round the show and shine cars Neil. It's all a bit same old, same old to me.

I was in the concourse, which is supposed to be for standard cars. The trouble is, there was a bunch of us in genuine, used every day with kids in the back, made to look as presentable as they could, up against pampered cars that only see the light of day for shows. No suprises that the same cars won again that always do.

Years ago, show and shine was for daily drivers and the concourse was just that. Nowadays there is nowhere for the likes of yours and mine to fit in and get any sort of recognition.

Rant over...for now.

I see where you are coming from. There was a huge difference in some of the cars there & you can see the ones taht only come out twice a year compared to a daily! Crazy really...

I was walking by the TTRS OC stand just after 2 of them had come of the strip, pissed off that they were only getting 11.8s

I was chatting to one of the blokes for a while, he seemed like a 'nice' guy, but from first opinions he seemed like a little f**k who literally splashing £££ left right and centre! Hell knows where they get it from, the guy looked about 26 and I heard him say to his mate 'yea once I'v spent about another £3k on it it should be where I want it.'

Cheque book tuningggg to quote someone else  :undecided:

I enjoyed the show though, had a good couple of hours wondering around, jumble wasn't that great but there were some real good deals to be had at the trade stands!

Jealously and general rage rant.

Well i thought it was a bit of a disaster TBH, they advertised that there would be a family camping area and kids entertainment area so i said to wife we should go for the weekend and take the kids. So we camped sat night out of the way, but when the main camping area was full they let everyone overspill so we were up til 4:30 listening to drum and bass. Not best pleased. There was no kids play area either, so after 2 hours sleep and blistering heat ton the sunday we had a look round the show and shine (which was awesome but to tired and hot to appreciate it) and then went home with an earful. They shouldn't advertise it to be family friendly when it clearly isn't, and there was no security to sort out the knob heads who didn't get the no music after midnight policy. I'm now sat at work, shattered, sunburnt and with peed off missus who won't be coming any shows in the future!!!

Enjoyed the drag racing on sat though but i just wasn't lucky enough to get paired up to anything "normal", and the show wasn't laid out very well, things here, things there.

Sorry i left early Screech, wanted to come see you on the 1/4 mile, next time mate. My best was an 18.28secs so you would have thrashed me anyway!!!  :embarrassed:

Just to top off the weekend my rear wheel arch spat came off on the M6, literally rusted off! So now ive got a rotten wheel arch to remind me of the weekend as well!
