PolRay did you read the link posted? We all know about the Polo cap but like Wazzzer says its not the fix.

It worked for me and many other so confused, has anyone spoken to Polybush with regards to this I know they would be interested in speaking to people who have had first hand experience.

Why would I want to contact them?
There was a thread on ukmkivs (the first one a saw) and the people from PSI where replying on it and they said they have passed on all the info on to Polybush and they where aware of it, But where putting it down to people not fitting them right. It's all over the place that there's a problem with them can all these people have fitted them wrong?  I even know a lad that got sent a free set to try and prove they where fine and post it up on E38, but he ended up doing the above to get it all sitting right on fitting.

are the 2 parts welded together??  :undecided:

No mate they don't need to be as the smaller Polo cap is pushing down on the modified Golf cap which is then pushing down onto the strut top via the rubber buffer. I fitted them on today and believe me they're not going anywhere lol

This is exactly what the rubber looked like on mine after a few days with the Polo caps
