Si there's a way round the top plate problem

Polybush manufactured the uprated polyurethane strut top mounts merging the existing MK4 Strunt Top Mount with the shorter Polo MK3 Strut Top mount thus gaining the 10mm additional suspension drop. This means that when fitting the Polybush Strut Top Mounts that Polo MK3 Top Cap (OEM Number 6N0 412 319) has to be used to ensure correct location and fitment,

I have fitted a number of the Polybush mounts myself with Polo Top Caps and have no issues with fitment or Knocking.

Tried them, the rubber surround was destroyed within a day and they fall through the strut top as they are too small. Pics to follow of my hybrid versions I finished today

Here you go.

Standard Golf cap with the cup part cut off leaving a big washer

Then the remaining lip ground flat and centre hole enlarged slightly

Polo and modified Golf cap mated together

Comparison of difference in diameter between the two caps

Rubber buffer added to both caps

Will be fitting them after work this evening, can't see any reason why they won't do the job

It worked for me and many other so confused, has anyone spoken to Polybush with regards to this I know they would be interested in speaking to people who have had first hand experience.
