the audi s2 top mounts are better.

Are you sure?? Going by a lot of threads on the vortex there saying they have the same problems as the Polo ones. People in the US couldnt get Polo ones so thats why they went for the Audi ones. I even heard of Audi 80 mounts being used.

These mounts with joey mob caps are the way to go IMHO.

I'm going to just order in a load of different top caps and try to find a suitable OE part.. there must be something out there!

Yeah it would be nice to find one that will fit straight on Chris. I'm just in the process of chopping the Golf ones to fit with the Polo caps

Polybush manufactured the uprated polyurethane strut top mounts merging the existing MK4 Strunt Top Mount with the shorter Polo MK3 Strut Top mount thus gaining the 10mm additional suspension drop. This means that when fitting the Polybush Strut Top Mounts that Polo MK3 Top Cap (OEM Number 6N0 412 319) has to be used to ensure correct location and fitment, thus preventing the knocking that few people have reported when using existing deep dish top cap

I have fitted a number of the Polybush mounts myself with Polo Top Caps and have no issues with fitment or Knocking.
