Storm Developments Stainless Exhaust
« on: 14 November 2012, 06:58 »
Been looking at the stainless 6-branch manifold and cat back exhaust system offered by storm developments for my vr6. Just wondered if anyone has any experience with these regarding build quality, sound, fit and finish etc. was looking at milltek systems but could be quite tempted by one of these if they turn out to be decent quality
Thanks in advance
Dave

Stainless manifolds can be a pain as they tend to crack, I would stick with standard tbh

This true you do need to cut them and weld in a flexi pipe

I would treat any claim by Storm with a pinch of salt!

My car on their Rolling Road recorded 173.6bhp when real figure was around 154bhp!
As to the quality of their work I cant say but that alone put me off them.

Same as dubpower and that's £330.

It was a very good quality

Wanted to get one but wasn't sure.
Then in 2011 I see them at gti international and spoke to the owner of dubpower and they had a manifold and decat pipe there. Lets say I went over it again and again and then some more.  couldn't fault the quality. Pretty sure it's not equal length, so it's made taking in to account the v formation of the engine and should give a couple more bhp over standard manifold.

If you got the cash, buy it. I didn't buy one at the time because I wasn't sure on keeping my vr6
