Oh and be careful putting up footage of yourself hooning on Youtube - it's possible to time the car between markers etc if you look like you're taking the p*ss.
my mate will comfirm this   we both nearly got banned after a run on the quads 1 day

It's all sped up anyway

Funny you say that!! I'm actually down in Exeter on Monday afternoon to Tueday however I fear my visit may not be long enough. My golf is coming with so if you are around I could indeed bring the gopro.....in fact it's coming anyay as I want to get some video! Best roads i've driven on were in Devon/Cornmall - especially going from Newquay to Truro in girlfriends mini cooper s! My golf up for stage 2 start of next year hopefully with the exhaust being the changed asap.

In theory your 16mp camera would work and probably could shot some good video. Thing i'd worry about is the vibration but should work. I've never tried to mount my slr camera but from what a few mates have done, it can do some stunning video.

I've checked the camera it's actually 14mp not 16mp. It's this one - http://thetechjournal.com/electronics/camera-electronics/samsung-pl200.xhtml - So it would seem it is 30 frames p/s.

Also if you down on Monday or Tuesday I'll be about. But Exeter is still an hour away from me, so I don't want you to go out of your way.

I will look into that suction pad DH. I've got a a little tripod, that came with the camera, but it's no good to man nor beast. What would you suggest for supporting the bottom?

Will this do - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Suction-Cup-Mount-for-GoPro-HD-HERO-HERO2-camera-and-Drift-HD-tripod-mount-/140883536234?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item20cd50296a - Apparently it's good for use with any 1/4" thread on a camera, which mine is.

Thanks for all your replies.

Fair enough.

Your camera should be able to shot some good video and in HD which is always good. Just to get a mount! I wouldn't have clue but a tenner isn't too bad.

I don't mind travelling down but as you say it could be too much out the way. If you really really wanna have a play with the camera i'm game but otherwise we'll leave it to next time! I'm sure you'll get some good video soon anyway :p

I really appreciate your willingness, I really do, but I don't want you to feel as though you've spent 2 hours travelling and it ends up being time wasted. For example there are multiple circumstances which could dictate this (driving rain, traffic etc).

I'll wait to get a few more opinions on the mounts and then buy one and hopefully we I can get some decent footage from that. I can always send you the raw footage to edit and you can keep the end result. Or I can buy you some beers/wine for doing it, either way I don't mind.

Thanks for replying too dude.

Yeh no worries! I know what the roads are like down 'there'.....either very good or horrific! Wouldn't trust the weather anyway. I don't mind do some editing if you want to send it my way - I have been known to do some good videos haha!! All for a good cause....but definately no wine!!

Beers it is then me old sunshine! How would I transfer the data to you? For example the raw footage for the last video we got was 2gb and there's no chance that's coming through on an email. I suppose I could always use one of our older usb sticks and put it on there and send it to you and then when you're done with it, you could send it back.

And don't you go morphing the driving footage with some cutaways of some dirty old 70's porn star with a great big hairy growler. I know what you meant by 'known to make a good video'....we've all been there. #filthyf**k*rs
