Drivers Door Problem
« on: 07 November 2012, 19:08 »
Hi guys

I am having a problem with my mk4 golf, 5 door drivers door lock. I am able to unlock the drivers door with the key but it will not unlock any other door, the immobliser light stays flashing. Using the passenger lock all works as it should. This is not remote locking. I have found that the lock has become stiff when turning the key in the lock. Anyone had this problem before? Ideas will be much appreciated.

Thank You

Josh :)

the drivers lock is knackered, probably needs a new paddle,. take the handle off and investigate.

wired incorrectly? fuses checked? and have you reset everything? ie put key in lock, turn to unlock and hold, windows down, then release, turn back to lock, release then, back to lock and hold for 8 secs?
