help stuck rear brakes.

Nsh!t quite a golf mk 4 but a seat Leon so more or Less the Same car.

My mates rear piston has siezed. It was stuck far out. Tried to re wind it with the rewind tool. Solid. My mate tried again later and the piston has spun round easily and come out of the cylinder. Help.

It is currently claimped in place as not to let the brake fluid cone out!

What to do,?

Can I do this today. On the drive?. Not bled brakes before. Or can I just bleed the one caliper?

You can do it on the drive, my dad's car has the same problem. The caliper piston has come out too much, pressing the pads against the disc and making a awful noise when driving. Just a new caliper needs fitting, bleeding and maybe a change of pads if they have been worn too much.

If the pads were worn enough then the caliper piston will come out, or if you wind it the wrong way  :whistle:
It should go back in with some force, just make sure the seal is ok and and that you bleed at the very least that one caliper, preferably all of them

VW do a brake caliper service kit for about £20 inc vat. As there are no mechanical parts in the caliper you just need to replace the rubber seals its a very easy job and you get seals for both calipers in one box. Takes about a hour to do give or take, £20 vs a new caliper is win win, especially if you were considering getting one from a scrappy which could have the same problem a few miles down the road.
