Little update on my 16v anni, 6m on
« on: 30 October 2012, 09:51 »
Exciting times!

Sold the 8v Anni in the sig pic on saturday for a measley £1000. The guy that bought it was well chuffed, but i can't help but feel hes got alot of car there for the money, hes an enthusiast and a nice bloke though so i feel ok him owning my pride and joy for the last 3 years and i know he'll look after it.

Now ive Sorned the 16v while i sold the 8v, but should have had the welding done by this weekend and be taxed and MOT'd. Pic below shows what the 16v looks like. Just looking for peoples opinion, do you think i should have sold my near perfect 8v for this:

I think you did the right thing, wont take much to get this as good as the 8v and youll have a very nice rare car

I would exactly as above, But then again the 16V is much more rarer than the 8V, But with abit of TLC, It'll look like new, so all the best & good luck... Keep us updated

Think you will be OK- mine was bit rough when I bought it, but now it has been detailed, the wheels refurbed and serviced up to date it is a really great looking car and drives spot on.

Only problem with mine that I don't like is a rust scab on lower drivers door which I don't know how to sort out..

I've got a scab on the wing so think I'm just going to find a new wing rather than repair it.

Must admit my 8v was in a similar state when I bought it and over time I got it up to scratch so I'll get a thread going for this one.

I know, gutted, but as everyone says on here, mk3's are just not going for much at the moment, even the anni's. The value will start going up soon as they get rarer and everyone will realise what a great car the mk3 is.

Still looking forward to taking the 16v for a spin, should be like sitting in my old car but with 150bhp instead if 115.
