right had to change front discs and pads saturday put new oem discs and ebc greenstuff pads in which all went swimmingly  :grin: ... my question is ... driver sides pads were
totally raped and more or less fell to bits when i took em out  :undecided: bu the passenger side had more or less 60% left on em???? any ideas?? sticky caliper?? and today noticed the dreaded squeels back :( there coated up with copper grease and i lubed the carriers and that aswell!!

EBC Pads aren't great, you probably haven't given them enough time to bed in anyway.

If one side is worse than the other then as the others have said, something on the very worn side isnt right, did you check both of the pistons on the carriers? move the part that you bolt the carrier to the caliper and they move in and out, if both move freely then your caliper piston may be sticking

slider pins not free ? if the boot bets damaged they can sieze up

well ive done 190 miles with light braking then aparantly they need to be abused at 200 mile .. il do that and see what happens .. can you remove the piston to grease or is it new caliper if its stickin?? :( plus the read up of ebc's sounds good to me mate cant be any worse than 17.50 euro parts pads  :sick:

I use the EBC red stuff on mine and they are good when warm (so all personal preference)
yes you can remove the piston to rebuild if needed, same with the carriers, one of mine the rubber had split (bad news for any lad  :grin: ) and the water got in and seized it, freed it up with some heat and copper greased it all up and added the new rubber - jobs a good un  :wink:

ahhhhhh man nothins ever easy is it hahaha im gonna do a good few hundred miles before i take em out and have a look hopefully it will just magically free itself up  :undecided: haha
