Had a fairly productive weekend working on the car. Managed to finally get around to installing my heated seat loom. It had been butchered somehwat upon removal by the previous owner, but with the help of Google I figured it all out and it's in and working. Whilst the carpets were up in the front I inspected for any signs of rot, thankfully there was none, though there was some surface rust where a patch had been welded in and not painted or anything! So I sealed this upo with some bitumen-based underbody sealeant from a spraycan. Also checked the underneath and wasn't surprised to see again it had just been left as bare metal! So a quick wire brush, some rust inhibiting primer, and then more underbody sealant.

Whilst I had the clocks/fuse box out I figured I may as well swap in the remapped ECU I bought off eBay. Paid £80 which included the immobiliser box and keychip so was a straight swap, easier than buying a chip and then paying someone to solder it for me. The guy had paid £350 for his remap(!) and supplied this rolling road chart. Car feels a bit more responsive so for the money I paid it was worthwhile.

EuroCarParts had a big sale on over the Easter weekend so bought load of bits I needed. Fuel filter, new flate wiper blades (ECPs own brand Vista Pro - seem really good so far), alternator belt, cam seal and cam cover gasket, and a set of hydraulic cam followers for when I install my new cam.

Finally I was bored and decided to spray my wing mirror covers black. Just gave them a light sanding and sprayed with Montana White gloss paint, goes on so well and is almost impossible to make it run, sticks to anything, I love it!

And here they are fitted.
