Any one have one, my plasma , now 4 years old is getting slow to turn on, and missing pixels!

Reading up it seems smarts the way to go!

Can I get one which don't have 3d? Not fussed by all that!

47"-50" this time I think!!

I got a 40inch Samsung Smart TV (cant remember the model)

Interface is a little clunky but most of the tv apps like iPlayer etc are on there and it streams stuff really nicely

Depends if you've got an Xbox or not - it has Netflix, lovefilm, Skype etc so turns your 'dumb' tv into a smart tv.

Put Netflix on it, I found the XBOX interface better than the PC version!

Internet Explorer (Ok, it's not everyone's favorite browser) is coming to the xbox soon, it does a good job and a web browser, full screen, on a large TV is pretty sweet! I've ordered a keypad for the xbox controller so Internet Explorer is easier to use.

That way you could get a regular TV, but a much better one in terms of picture quality / refresh rate than a smart TV with lower specs. Try the xbox out and see if you think it'll give you the 'smart' features you want.

If I'd get a TV now I'd go for a thin bezel/frame with a great picture quality, Panasonic Viera's are great for picture quality ! unfortunately thin frames were almost nonexistent when I got mine and the few that were around were waaaay out of my price range.
