Fitted new wheels now have a droning noise ?

So i swappe my sport raders for vw standard estorils wheels .

All balanced correctly and wheels fitted and torqued up to the correct tightness .

On certain road surfaces the droning is worse than other but its there always but quiet sometimes . Have got hedge finders on ....

Almost sounds like a wheel bearing on the way out but weird just as I change the wheels and had an mot - passed .

Any ideas ??

Ill double check my wheel torqued tommrrow , have paranoia after someone said freshly painted wheels around the stud holes can work lose because of the fresh paint

I went from 205/50/15 to 195/40/16 and was shocked on how firmer and louder it is.


Are they same size?

Could be rubbing?

Went from 185/60/40  to  195 50 15 . Done the math and the wheel circumstance is slightly less than the 14" set up . So shouldn't be but will check dropped 60/40

Have got wheel dice valve caps I it makes any difference ....

With alloys you should check them a few days after fitting and then again at 500miles.

Update anyways

Its not tyre noise I'm 100% , kicks in at 50mph and gets louder as you go on , it's like a whiring washing machine . I think a wheel bearing or drive shaft ,

No literally started when I fitted the new wheels  , the wheels are all true I checked them on a wheel balancer before I spent the time refurbishing , so must have a flat spot on a tyre ?
