First problem for years........
« on: 01 October 2012, 19:03 »
With the MOT due I gave the MK4 a quick wash as it hasn't been done for few months

After I reversed it off the drive I could see something dripping under the car

It was pink coolant and after a quick look it was coming from above the gearbox side - i thought split hose or the classic broken plastic housing on the side of the block.

Turns out it was just the O ring inside

All fixed in half an hour and it went straight through the MOT with no advisories :afro:

Not bad for an old 150k tank Still waiting for all of these problems you guys seem to have with "crappy 1.8T's"

It may handle like a barge but damn I love this car

If they are properly maintained they are bullit proof. My Leon Cupra has more or less been trouble free for the five years I have had it. Sailed through its mot in April with no advisories which surprised me as I had neglected it over winter. Off the road now looking to sell it.
