Cheers DH. Being forces means we can get free medicals which is good.

Pid, yeah it is mate. The guy that races it atm is on his PO's course at Collingwood, as are we. We spoke to him on wednesday and it seems a good way to start. It used to be mostly officers who ran it, and it was really clicky before. Its all Jr/Snr rates now so is more open to everyone which is great. They are building a second one atm as well, so the future looks bright!
After a bit of research, it doesn't seem too bad cost wise. We can use our SLCs toward the licence, so thats £170 off. There are also ways to get a little bit of funding towards kit which is pretty good too, and the RAF run a championship which doesn't cost anything to enter on race meets so thats a bonus, as the national run events are between £200 and £300 each meet. We can also sign out a van to tow it to events, and claim for duty travel.

Gonna get the starter pack now, and book in for the test after Xmas me thinks.
Thanks guys!
