difference between vento and golf

obviously vento is a mk3 golf saloon,but is there any difference in a golf driveshaft ect than a vento one???
also subframe,rear beam

Besides body differences the mechicanical parts are all same as far as I know. Only mechinal difference I can see is that exhaust rear silencer is longer.

I've had two Vento's.. a 1.8 and a VR6, going from memory but someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes but all Vento's apart from the VR were 4 stud.

Beam would be the same though wouldn't it, just the stub axles and brake assemblies different surely?

I think so but VR and GTI Golfs had the wider track set up so I am not 100% sure if the beam is the same.

Pretty sure the golf gti and vr6 has a narrower beam but the rear disc setup gives the wider track.


I looked into this as I want a low et wheel that tucked in the arch. I was going to swap beams but found out I had the narrow one to start with lol
