mfa oil temp

the oil temp on my mk2 8v has stopped working  :sad:
where abouts is the sensor located so i can get a new one?  :smiley:

what year is yours?

mine is a 91 8v.  i'm guessing the faulty bit is the temperature sender located directly on top of the oil cooler. that is asuming your wiring is intact and not to blame.

anyone else any ideas? as i wouldn't mind fixing it, it's always nice to keep an eye on your oil temp..

thats the fella get it swapped out but if I remember correctly its a tapered thread so beware!

Its more likely to be the wiring to the sensor. Check this out 1st

On an 8v the sender is on the oil filter housing, its the small one with the spade connector on top.  On a 16v its round the back of the head somewhere.
