just changed the fuel pump with another one which was good from a mk1 hard top but it still whines like its struggling to get fuel

ANY IDEAS ?

Oh, and the injection pump should only run for a short time when the key is first switched on and run constantly when the engine is running.

right this is where im at changed the fuel pump relay now the pump kicks in on ignition but runs constantly when started should it ? now for the good bit i the seems to be starved of fuel when reving over 3500 could it be fuel pressure loss causing the pump to whine and the engine to miss and fart about

also took acumilator of yesterday and blew it out with an airline this is when it started running like pooh could i have damaged it by using an air line to do this ???

right what a day broke down outside german and sweedish kinda handy got fuel pump got accumilator and lift pump all my problems sorted out in 1 hit car is like a rocket now

heres 1 for fuel pump relay 62 there are two different types of 62 if you have the 1 with the white base where the pins are its wrong its for a mk2 you need the 1 with the brown bottom this 1 primes the pump on ignition
