Mine has smoked since the day it got mapped. No boost leaks.

Thought they all give out quite a bit of black smoke. Most of my mates tdi's do.

Anyway, Took the maf off then and took it for a quick blast. There is a section of dual carriage way near my house about half a mile long, Entered it at about 40mph and the best i could get out of it was 70mph. I was in 4th and it was crawling up slowly.

I will check in the morning if there is anything loose.

Not if they are running properly. Sounds like it could be a boost leak

EGR is clean. am not taking off the inlet as I cant be arsed. And no same reason as <<<that.

Next car I buy will not have to be mapped to achieve what I want, it will be prefect out the box....oh Ive heard that before....

Went to my local vw specialist whi have got a good name and they fixed the brake pedal switch and there was a slight boost leak which they fixed.
Turns out the real problem is the camshafts, They have quoted me £400 to supply and fit some 130 cams. Does this sound about right? and is there any benefit to 130 cams?

I will have to ring them tomorrow and see whats included.
Will the car with the current spec run a pd150 turbo or will i need more parts? I just though while it was in getting fixed and getting a remap after it might be worth putting the 150 turbo on.

It will run a 150 turbo no problem. So its the cams on a 115PD have gone then? And to think everyone says its only the PD 150's which suffer from cam failure..... :lipsrsealed:
